A doubled powerful solar flare

Another powerful solar flare was recorded on October 3rd at 12:18 UTC (which is 14:18 Belgrade time). The intensity of this flare was estimated at X9.0, and it occurred in the same active region as the strong flare that happened on October 2nd and was rated X7.1. Such frequent explosions from the same region on the Sun can lead to increased solar wind and magnetic storms. These disturbances in the Earth's atmosphere and magnetosphere occur two to three days after these explosions.
