Today, on February 6, 2024 at 03:40 UTC (which is 04:40 in Belgrade time), a strong eruption (see image), with a magnitude of M4.2, occurred on the Sun. The eruption was in such a place on the surface of the Sun that the particles from the solar wind, associated with this eruption, will miss the Earth and will not endanger telecommunications. In general, M-class eruptions are medium-strength eruptions and can cause short communication disruptions in the polar regions and small geomagnetic storms.
