Abstract
The AZ1500 telescope is designed with modern optical and mechanical components and aims to enhance the observation capabilities of the Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory. Here we present the initial tests, setup procedures, and results from the conducted observations. The tests include checking the performance of the instrument itself and photometric observations of various types of objects. The results of these initial tests provide us with valuable insights into the capabilities of the telescope and help us build a fully robotic telescope for observations and research campaigns.
